The R&D based factory founded in 2000, CLEAR Lighting began with a passion for decorative lighting, creating unique experiences in architectural design. By 2005, we revolutionised the market with flexible LED strips, setting the stage for our future innovations. As LED technology advanced, so did we, transitioning from simple decorative solutions to cutting-edge LED flex lighting designed for durability, quality and performance.

In 2010, we made a pivotal shift in our product development strategy, focusing on transforming commercial lighting. This bold move led us into unexpected territory -developing solutions for extreme environments. When the oil and gas sectors demanded lighting capable of withstanding harsh conditions, we conceived the EXM product concept, designed specifically for unforgiving environments.

Distinguished by our commitment to sustainability, CLEAR is the first in the LED flex neon lighting sector to receive the prestigious Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) certification for our entire product range, exemplifying our dedication to pioneering sustainable practices and setting new industry standards.

Identifying the need

By 2015, our long ground research study indicated a critical gap in the explosion-proof lighting market. Traditional solutions were often bulky, energy-intensive, and inadequate for the specific needs of hazardous environments. Notably, we closely examined incidents such as the Yima Gas Plant Explosion in China (2013), the Tianjin Explosions in China (2015), and the Imperial Sugar Refinery Explosion in Georgia (2008). These tragic events had a common root cause - inadequate and inappropriate lighting. This realisation sparked our commitment to develop the SafeGlo series.

In response to these challenges, we developed the SafeGlo series - our groundbreaking explosion-proof LED strip lighting designed specifically to address the root causes of inadequate and inappropriate lighting in hazardous environments.
